Our Board of Directors manage the organization, and we have numerous Coordinators who work with our board to make it all happen. We’re a volunteer based, non-profit society with a passion and desire to build multiculturalism through community and family events. We’re grateful to all volunteers and value their time, energy and contributions.Additionally, we value our sponsors! With the generosity and financial support of sponsorship, Langley’s International Festival Society is able to continue organizing and managing community events.
Mission Statement
To celebrate and promote Multicultural Diversity through various community events throughout the year.
Our Vision
To respect our multicultural community so we can learn to live and work together in harmony. To showcase our unity and diversity through Performing and Visual Arts, awareness, education and information. To be proud of our ethnic roots, heritage and traditions and share these 'core' values with others.
Our History
The festival began in 2001 as a fundraiser for St. Joseph's parish in Langley, BC. The first year, we were delighted with approximately 1,500 attendees. The attendance has grown each and every year. We’re proud to say over the last eleven years, the festival has grown from 1,500 to 15,000 attendees. This year, we anticipate an attendance of approximately 30,000. Over the years, we’ve had more than seventy countries represented in one way, shape or form. Included in this two-day event are such things as: performing artists, ethnic cuisine, international marketplace, numerous pavilions which showcase interests for children, seniors, and healthy community living, cultural art gallery, live Shakespearian performances from Bard in the Valley, soccer tournament, beer & wine garden, dog show, pony rides and much more. Langley’s International Festival has become a ‘major’ community event.
